Christmas Day in 1962 was so cold and snowy

WITH reference to the letter from Mary Wood of Dudley in The Bugle (April 9 edition), I too remember the winter of 1962-1963.

We had moved from the living quarters surrounding our family watch and clock shop at 13, Pipers Row, Wolverhampton, to live at 36 Lonsdale Road, Penn Fields, Wolverhampton, on November 8, 1962.I was just 17 months old, so I don’t remember the move, but I do recall the snow on Christmas Day that year and how bitterly cold it…
